Six hundred years ago, the king summoned the royal astrologer into his august presence.A messenger ran from the throne- room , down the winding corridors and up the spiral stairs, brushing aside cobwebs and the odd slumbering bat, into the dusty chamber at the top of the Black Tower where the astrologer had his den.

 

“Come with me” he said,” The king wishes to consult you”

The astrologer picked up his astrolabe and a couple of attendant spirits and, limping valiantly as fast as his aged frame could carry him, hobbled after the messenger.

 

Reaching the Kingʼs throne – room he wiped his trembling hands on his long, snow – white beard and bowed low.

“We are thinking of marrying the princess of Rutirania” the king boomed, “Is it a good idea? “

« Μεγαλειότατε» , είπε ο αστρολόγος ενώ ήξερε ότι είναι πολύ εξοικειωμένος με το συνολικό έργο του Καρλ Γιουγκ, « βλέπω στο γενέθλιο χάρτη σας πως είχατε μία δύσκολη παιδική ηλικία και είστε υπερευαίσθητος, περισσότερο από όσο οι άλλοι μπορούν να δουν.

Έχετε  κλήση, σαν  δώρο θεού θα έλεγα, ως θεραπευτής και επίσης, μη εκπληρωμένες δημιουργικές ικανότητες.

 « Μεγαλειότατε» είπε ο αστρολόγος, «βλέπω ότι η πριγκίπισσα θα προσελκύσει ποιητές , φιλόσοφους και καλλιτέχνες από όλη την επικράτεια και η βασιλεία σας έτσι θα γίνει  ένα αναγεννημένο κέντρο γνώσης.

Ο γάμος αυτός θα δημιουργήσει άρρηκτους δεσμούς μεταξύ των δύο βασιλείων και ο πατέρας της θα είναι ένα πολύτιμος σύμμαχος στον επερχόμενο πόλεμο με τους βαρβάρους.

Όμως, όλα σας τα παιδιά θα πεθάνουν πριν γεννηθούν και για το λόγο αυτό, μετά το θάνατό σας , ο θρόνος θα περάσει στον κακό σας αδερφό ο οποίος θα  καταδυναστεύσει το λαό σας.

 

This did  not happen  either; but is a much closer picture of what astrology has been through most of his history.

Modern astrology is rubbish.

As a practicing, professional astrologer I find it necessary to make this clear from the start. What passes from astrology today is nothing but a travestry of the science as one practiced.

O Frawley, γνωστός και υπερδραστήριος σύγχρονος αστρολόγος και  συγγραφέας ξεχωρίζει για την οξύνοια και τον αδρό του τρόπο έκφρασης.

Αφοσιωμένος στην αστρολογία , μελετητής της πολύτιμης κληρονομιάς της μέσα στο χρόνο αναπτύσσει και οργανώνει εντάσσοντας στα σημερινά δεδομένα όλες τις γνώσεις του χθες.

 

Προικισμένος, γνώστης και δάσκαλος μας λέει ότι ο καλύτερος τρόπος για να μάθουμε αστρολογία είναι να μάθουμε τις ιδέες πίσω από αυτήν.

 

Τα βιβλία του δεν είναι παρά μία περιληπτική συγγραφή όσων έχει συζητήσει ή αναπτύξει σε διαλέξεις του.

 

Σκέφτηκα να δημοσιεύσω ένα πολύ μικρό απόσπασμα της αρχής του φημισμένου  αυτού  βιβλίου του καθώς αποτελεί ένα σταθμό αλλά και μία  πρόκληση για σκέψη και λογισμό, συζητήσεις και αναζητήσεις στα περί των άστρων και της γλώσσας τους.

How to learn astrology

If you want to learn astrology, you shouldnʼt begin by reading astrology books.

Youʼll learn a lot more by reading Marcello Ficinoʼs Book of Love. Anything of value in the

Renaissance can be directly attributed to Ficino.

The book is a commentary on Platoʼs Symposium and never mentions astrology. It talks about love in all its forms, what to do with it, how to cure it. He describes the Part of Fortune without ever using the word.

Love is the child of plenty and poverty. It is derived from adding the Sun and Moon,minus the Ascendant.

The Sun = plenty.

The Moon = poverty; it is always hungry.

The Ascendant is the point of incarnation.

Part of Fortune is what we truly love in the marrow of our bones–the pearl of great price

 

 hat is astrology?

Astrology is the science of light. Light existed before the Sun and Moon were created.

This is essential light: the light of the essences of things. Astrology works by communication of essential light.

This is a subtle, refined light that cannot be stopped. It communicates from essence to

essence. Itʼs the reason you canʼt stay inside and avoid your Saturn return; it will find

you anyway.

In traditional optics, light emanates from the eye, strikes an object, and returns to the eye

with the image of the object. The eyes are ruled by the Sun and Moon, which give light

and donʼt receive it. The eyes also give out light. If you donʼt believe this, try staring at a

sleeping cat and see how long it stays asleep.

The Sun is essence and the Moon is soul. The right eye of a man is ruled by the Sun and

his left eye is ruled by the Moon. A womanʼs left eye is ruled by the Sun and her right

eye is ruled by the Moon. When a man and woman gaze into one anotherʼs eyes, thereʼs

a communication of essence to essence, soul to soul.

Light comes from essence (the Sun) and is reflected through the colors of the 6 traditional

planets. Nothing exists in a pure state. Everything has the qualities of all 7 planets. For

example, everything has Saturn (form), or we couldnʼt perceive it. Likewise, everything

has Jupiter (extension).
