ΦΥΛΕΣ ΤΩΝ ΖΩΔΙΩΝ
April

Still an irritating wind;
Vestiges of stubborn grey –
Jibing us of recent winter blight.

Itʼs coming though – like perky breasts
Pushing through a blouse –
Teasing, pleasing in itʼs tantalising play:

Warmth of youth in April sun –
Simmering off depression,
Brains retuned; remapped for fun.

April is a portal –
Smoothly transitions
Delicate dispositions – suchlike mine,

Easing hunched bodies into
Summery smiles.

 {April Love is a painting by the Pre-Raphaelite painter Arthur Hughes which was created between 1855 and 1856. It was first exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1856.[1]

At its first showing Hughes accompanied the painting with an extract from Tennyson's poem "The Miller's Daughter":

Love is hurt with jar and fret,
Love is made a vague regret,
Eyes with idle tears are set,
Idle habit links us yet;
What is Love? For we forget.
Ah no, no.}

        APRIL BLUES

  watchman's whistle blows
2 o' clock
cadaverous existence
wide open eyes
caravan of words
noise of silence
and the story of April

BODY:

every caterpillar has it's own fate
metamorphosis
moth never fly
but the butterflies

It is us who killed
the deceiving April
the 'cruelest month'
month of blooming roses
April flutter like the smoke of chimney
like Kafka's caterpillar

and now April is transformed into autumn
given a chance where every leaf is a flower
a phoenix is waking up from the ashes
long live April!

EPILOGUE:

still I keep the house open until the dawn
